Since the launch of the BLA online
membership facility, we have received a
number of requests from financial and
several other institutions requesting
access to our membership database. In
order for us to raise funds and for us
to consistently add value to you, we
have decided to make this database
accessible to certain credible
institutions.
Some of our members serve as advisors
for financial services companies and
from time to time need to brief
attorneys on the kind challenges a
financial services company may want
assistance on. There has been a high
demand for the services of black
practitioners. There are a number of
sources for this information but instead
of listing all attorneys without much
detail, this facility provides more
specific searches and your practice’s
profile.
Access to the membership database will
be in the form of a web portal. Users of
the facility will be able to search by
area of expertise, for instance, and
this information will be updated
regularly so that current information is
available to those in need of it. The
details of your practice will be listed
including your area or areas of
expertise so that you can stand to
benefit from this plethora of
opportunities out there. The portal will
be accessible via the BLA website
www.bla.org.za.
If you own a practice, in order to get
your practice registered, a fee of R
299.00 per practice per month is
required. This fee includes the
following additional services:
- Domain Registration
- Website Hosting
- Email hosting (Up to 12 email
addresses @yourcompanyname.co.za)
A minimum of 100 law firms is
required in order for us to negotiate
with the service providers for better
pricing. Should you wish to get your
practice listed at the suggested monthly
fee of R 299.00, email us and make the
subject line 'List My Practice' to
webservices@bla.org.za. You
will be advised as soon as we reach the
minimum required quantity of 100
applicants so that we can initiate the
process.
