Trial Advocacy Training

This training is designed to improve the advocacy skills, trial technique and confidence of lawyers. It is based on a Learn-by-doing approach, in that all exercises are conducted in a simulated courtroom session. Participants receive immediate feedback on ther performance from the faculty members.

 

Have your trial skills through intensive practice with expert feedback under the watchful eyes of experienced litigators and judges who will offer constructive and practical suggestions in improving your technique.

  • Case Analysis including Couching of Action and drafting of Charge Sheets.
  • Structuring Direct and Cross examination.
  • Determining whether a point is best made in cross examination
  • Practical issues
  • Dealing with an evasive witness
  • How to tender exhibits and when to call an expert witness
  • Qualifying an expert witness
  • Danger of calling and examining an adverse witness
  • Choosing the language in framing questions
