The Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA) invites employers from the Legal Sector to participate as host employers in the roll out of the (Candidate Attorney Leanership) National Certificate: Attorney’s Practice NQF 7 Learnership:

Targeted number of learners: 347 learners
Roles, responsibilities and benefits for interested employers

• A Learnership agreement/contract must be entered into between a learner, the employer and training provider, stipulating each parties roles and responsibilities
• Provide learners with mentors/coaches for on-the-job training
• Allow learners to attend theory training with the training provider
• A grant will be paid by the SASSETA to cover learner allowance for the unemployed learners and training provider cost (please take note that the learner allowance will be influenced by the size of the company or law firm)
• Claim tax incentives for taking in learners into Learnership as an employer
• Interested employers must be Skills Development compliant (i.e. submissions of Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report to the SASSETA) and have a Skills Levy number
